MEET THE NEED

6th ANNUAL "MEET THE NEED FOR MOMS IN MAY"

Help homeless and displaced women and children in North Texas throughout April

"Meet the Need for Moms in May" is a donation drive Planned Parenthood of North Texas (PPNT) is sponsoring throughout the month of April.

We are collaborating with area organizations who help women-in-need with children:

  • The Vogel Alcove in Dallas County (a day care center for homeless women’s children)
  • Denton Country Friends of the Family (a shelter and outreach service for those affected by relationship violence and/or sexual assault)
  • Hope's Door of Collin County (a live-in shelter for abused and displaced women and their children)
  • SafeHaven of Tarrant County (a live-in shelter for women and their children).

PPNT will collect only NEW childcare supplies through May 4 in North Texas area health centers and present the donations to moms in honor of Mother's Day.  In 2009, we collected 2,000 pounds of donations.  Please help us surpass that amount in 2010!

DID YOU KNOW?

$5   - Will buy 6 pairs of children's socks.
$10 - Will buy 12 pairs of children's underwear.
$25 - Will buy one 28-ounce can of Enfamil formula with Iron.
$50 - Will buy 200
diapers and 800 baby wipes!

Donation boxes are in health center waiting areas.

Don't have time to shop but want to help?  PPNT is accepting donations by check or credit card and we'll buy the supplies for you!  Call us with your credit card information, make a donation online (in honor of your own mother or someone you love) or mail a check to the following location:
